Eng mounts

Hello all,
I’m reading a lot about the various engine mounts, quite confusing for an oldie.
Anyway, I have a 175 series 3 standard, no tuning.
The rear wheel is slightly out of line and when I checked there is play/slack between the pivot bolt and the cones, not much but what I think is enough to perhaps cause this.
Any guidance/advice would be helpful.
Thanks

Are small or large mounts currently fitted ?

Hello Toddy,
Thanks for the reply. Standard TV large mounts. I take it that when you say small mounts you mean the type fitted to LI’s.

Often the rear of the frame looks out of line because of the position of the frame loop not the mounts. Your TV should have the bigger engine mounts and cones with the chamfer on the outer edge as these are slightly wider than the early LI ones.

As regards the engine mounts themselves, you can usually see whether they need replacing from visual inspection. The rubber will be collapsing on one side.

Thanks again, just so I contribute correctly, my misalignment is the wheel, is that the same as the frame loop? Sorry to be so daft. And, I was wondering what mountings you experienced people out there would fit? I’ve seen £25 ones to £56. Within reason and to do the job properly the cost is what it will be.
As this is a recent purchase and I have no history to go on I’m intending on replacing everything with regard to the engine fixing within the frame.
Appreciate your help and time taken to reply, many thanks.
Pete
