Other than the occasional local delivery of gold bullion, just rally gear.

It first started going like this in 2015 on the way back from Bannockburn. I lost a nut off the rack on the way home. Since then, I have just touched up the paintwork every now and then when really I should have sorted it out

Thanks, Rich. As I suspected, the spot welded support underneath will need knocking out first.

I have stripped the scooter down to just the frame and legshields ready to get this fixed. I also took a minute to drill out the spot welds. The vibrations from the drill brought a rather large pile of rust out from the middle of the tube







Oh, and I also have another fracture needing welding

I used this on my '65 TR4a to protect the chassis: https://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/pro ... x-s50.aspx

Came with a super long lance to get it into hard to reach areas & maybe an idea to treat the inside of our tubular chassis?

Think I'll get some more and coat the inside of mine.

On another GP that I had, I pumped waxoyl into the frame. I was thinking of doing the same with this but, really, you need a nice hot sunny day so that, before the wax sets, you can twist and turn the frame around.

Just like mine was Paul before it went to Mike Phoenix.

I now need to decide how to try and stabilise the rust in the frame before the frame goes for the repairs to be painted in the new year.

A lad local to me in Wallasey, Gaz. I have used him for years. He’s not a scooterist.
