1963 s2 Li125

so i am building this scooter, no battery, no indicators and i am told that the closest wiring diagram in Sticky (3rd ed) is page 323. this seems to make sense.

i have loom with grey, green brown and black, then red and grey brake pedal. brown and white horn

so i have wired it as follows:
headset >> junction block >> loom
green killswitch>>block>>green loom
brown horn >>block>>brown loom
black speedo bulb>>block>>black loom

lightswitch:
white to horn
red/blue direct to headlight
orange to block >>brown (is brown the power feed?)

and headlight earth to somewhere? direct to earth or via the block?

so i have a spare grey loom wire (from footbrake?) on the block,

and i know soemthing has to be earthed on the control rod housing.

must be an easy fix right?

are you running points ignition or electronic? the black is the rear light feed.

have just edited my orig post to clarify black loom wire is connected to speedo bulb.

its a kick start, and kill switch. (so that means points??) its the grey that i dont really get. i am told brown is the live feed.

without having the manual in front of me i am running on foggy memories. the grey is what gives power to the brake light i think so on electronic set up it should have a jump over to the brown. the black should feed into the lighting system with 3 connections at the headset. one black wire that goes to the back light, 1 black that goes to the speedo and 1 black wire that gives power to the system when the lights are switched on.

my diagram isnt exactly like that . p323 of Sticky ed 3. its less complex
