Mag side bearing

I'm rebuilding an engine and need to buy some bearings. Has anyone used a mag side bearing with brass cage inside? FAG make them and they're very expensive but is there any advantage over a standard bearing

The cage is there to hold the rollers in place when the inner race is not there to support them. Once the bearing is assembled, the cage is redundant.
Does this alter the reason for asking the question?
