Going by Sticky's book, there is no recess for an oil thrower therefore it is probably an series 1. The book says it could be a TV 2 but the engine has the wrong prefix. Scooter Restorations ran the part numbers for me but they are not on record. All of the numbers are 1 digit different to the same parts as shown in the parts list. Spooky.

Wrong numbers for a S1.

I've just bought an engine casing with similar numbers Li 150 722*** and inside it has 19 01 0001 and no recess for an oil thrower , sticky's book ( orange one ) gives conflicting advice as it states in the cranckcase identification chart that the 7 prefix is for Li 125 ser 2 and ser 3 150 specials but at the back of the book in the section about innocenti upgrades and anomalies it refers to Li 150 ser 1 engine no 7****** , so who knows ???
As you say probably just Innocenti using up old stock , I used to own a 1966 150 special that had a chrome ring frame but according to " records " that didn't ever exist , but it did

LI 125 Series 2 has engine No's from 547748 to around 655000 which followed on from Series 1 which started at 500001.
LI 150 Special had engine numbers from around 692000 to end of production (790000 plus).
LI 150 Series 1 had numbering in the 700000 series but is different in position and type to LI 150 Special (actually three different types of numbering was used on S1 engines).
