Hi , I've recently bought a 1960 LI series 2. It needs to be registered but i only have a Nova reference number, not the actual certificate.
Do I need the paperwork or will the reference number be enough to satisfy the dvla ?
I do have the dating certificate.
Cheers.

Dont forget to send a copy of the date certificate and a current MOT certificate.

DVLA and HMRC are connected electronically so no certificate needed.

I registered a series 2 in 2015.At that time the HMRC computer system recognised the"i"in Li,but the DVLA and MOT computer system recognised it as a 1,I dont know if they've changed the system since then, but I had a right job registering my scooter.

I think they have recognised the problem since then and are now both singing from the same hymn sheet.

I recently had a first registration request returned by DVLA as they didn't believe I had a Nova.i did have a Nova, it just turned out the frame number on my DVLA application was different to the one I put on the Nova. It turned out to be total bollox. The error was their end but It was a right rigmarole to get it sorted. It would have made life so much easier if the DVLA form asked for the Nova number on the form.
