Paint colour and scheme

Postby Peterp » Wed Aug 27, 2025 12:30 pm

Good afternoon all,
I’ve been trying to find out the colour name/code for a TV175 Ive recently bought, and is it painted in an original Lambretta/innocenti scheme. My first TV was plain white/cream with base red panels etc.
Mine is white/cream with ochre panels and horn casing, I understand by google that the normal scheme was mudguard, panels and horn casing were all the same colour? Is this correct, sorry to look like a thicko but I’ve only just returned to scootering after many years. My first TV was only nine years old when I bought it for £50.00 so quite new and didn’t need repairs and refurb.
Thanks everyone.

Hi Pete,

In reference to Innocenti paint colours / for Lambretta models.
These are all listed in the back of 'Stickys' Book. 'The Complete Spanner's Manual.
Its a very helpful read for any owner wishing to get involved with Lambretta Scooter maintainance etc.

TV175 Series 3 Factory Paint

All parts painted in 'New White' 8059 Alternatively,
all parts painted in 'New White' except for the Side Panels, Horncasting,Horncasting Grill and Front Mudguard. Which are painted in one of the following colours;
'Dark Grey 8071'
'Light Yellow 8064'
'Coral Red 62 8065' (Early Machines)
Or' Ruby Red 8047'(Later Machines)
* PLEASE NOTE that there is also a Coral Red 63 8046 ' as there is some uncertainty as to if this colour was used as opposed to the 'Ruby Red'.

Note; Later machines. All parts painted in 'Metallic Light Blue 8062 ' Except for the toolbox, air filter box,air elbow, rear mudguard, flywheel cowling, cylinder cowling, petrol tank and straps. which are all painted 'New white' 8059.

I hope this helps as a guide.

Best regards
Bruceski
