RS reverse cone clamp

Postby DaveTomo » Wed Sep 10, 2014 5:00 pm

Bought this yesterday a RS 42mm reverse cone ,think I got it for a decent price, anyway need to change the VW tail pipe as the baffles gone. I'm after something a little less industrial looking than the present clamp, that'll hold the tailpipe on.Anyone got a tried & tested clamp they would recommend please, don't want the tailpipe shooting off  .So any recommendations?

I use a round clamp,a bit like a jubilee clip,but has a 10 mm bolt head.
I also pop rivet the tailpipe to the exhaust, then put the clamp over the top.

As my previous post personally I would get it welded properly and then re-chromed but, if you don't want to do that, these clamps are quite neat and I've used one on the down pipe:

I seem to remember that the manifold clamp off a 18mm or 20mm Dellorto was the right size,if you can find one.
